Creating clear and age-appropriate rules for a preschool setting is crucial for maintaining a safe, positive, and conducive learning environment. Hence we have set few general rules and regulations for preschool children.
Children should arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. to the preschool. The parents are requested to pick up their children at 12:30 p.m.
Each day, the school teachers will warmly welcome and attend to your child upon their arrival. Parents should ensure that they are under supervision while entering the school premises and do not leave them unattended at the gate.
Kindly inform the preschool in the event that a new family member or a family friend is picking your child after preschool.
It is recommended that children wear comfortable and loose-fitting cloths along with closed shoes with socks.
A handkerchief should be secured to their T-shirt or top when they have running nose.
Furthermore, they should not wear expensive jewellery and accessories while attending preschool.
Avoid sending accessories like caps, sunglasses, watch, bracelet, bangles etc with child.
The child is not allowed to bring their favourite toys and books to the preschool.
Boys should get their hair cut periodically. The girls should neatly style their hair. It is advised that clips should be used to secure their long hair in order to prevent it from falling in front of their eyes.
Children should bring a school bag to carry their books and a snack bag for the water bottle and snacks for the day. Both bags should be brought to school.
At all times, the children ought to have an additional set of garments stored in their respective cubbies.
Toddlers who have not yet learned how to use the toilet should bring extra diapers and wet wipes with them.
If your child has completed the process of toilet training, kindly send an additional set of inner wear along with their cloths.
The child’s belongings will be kept inside the bag in their respective cubby.
The child should get a snack that is dry and non greasy.
Parents are advised to provide their children with snacks that are high in nutrients.
Ensure that the food is appropriately packaged and stored in a container that is resistant to leaks.
Sending children sugary treats, candies, or meals that are high in fat are strongly discouraged.
Always include a little towel or napkin in their snack bag.
Avoid sending a fork or toothpick to consume cut fruit. If needed you can pack kids safe spoon and fork for your child. Our preschool also provides a set of child friendly cutlery that is suitable for children to consume snacks.
It is important for parents to label their children’s snack boxes and water bottles with their names so that the care takers can access their items more easily.
It is strictly forbidden for pre-schoolers to get non-vegetarian meals or meals that contain eggs in their snacks.
Parents are requested to prioritise their child’s health and the well-being of the entire preschool community. Hence, avoid sending kids to preschool, if they show these symptoms:
Fever
Runny Nose & Cough
Rash
Contagious illness like Chicken pox, Flu, Conjunctivitis etc
Vomiting
Loose Stools
Lice
Moderate to Severe Pain
Communication with preschool staff:
Parents should inform preschool staff promptly if their child is unwell. Open communication ensures the well-being of the sick child and prevents the spread of illnesses to other children.
Emergency Contacts:
Parents should provide up-to-date emergency contact information, including alternative caregivers or family members who will pick up your sick child if the need arises.
It is unacceptable to cause damage to school property. If something gets broken, the parents should pay to have it fixed or replaced, as suggested by management.
Our preschool appreciates the timely payment of fees to ensure the smooth operation of our preschool.
The preschool fee is non-refundable. Hence, parents are urged to ensure that their child attends all classes within the specified period.
By fostering a collaborative relationship with parents, preschools can create a positive and supportive environment that maximizes the child’s learning and developmental potential.
Continuous communication and shared involvement create a sense of partnership that benefits the child both at school and at home.
The Cardinal Preschool has created an environment where parents are informed and engaged always, which in turn helps parents being committed in adhering to policies that contribute to the overall success and well-being of the children.
Thank you,
The Cardinal Preschool Team
